NATIONAL HARBOR, MD – The annual parade of conservative politicians known as CPAC, The Conservative Political Action Conference came to a close over the weekend, but not before former governor and Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin turned it into an opportunity for playground taunts.
She took political pot shots at the usual suspects, like the president and gun control, but GOP political adviser Karl Rove was the real target of her insults.
Palin blames Rove and other old-guard movers and shakers for the drubbing Republicans have taken since 2008.
And she suggested that if Rove is so smart, he should go back to Texas and put his own name on the ballot.
Rove returned the taunts, telling Fox News Sunday that he appreciates the advice about running, but fat, bald guys don`t do well at the polls.
Rove and Palin may have been political bedfellows at one time, but something tells us the honeymoon is over.
