Ari Teman decided to rent out his Manhattan digs while he was away. He posted his apartment on Airbnb.com, a website where folks can make some cash by renting out their cribs to others looking for a place to crash for a few days. Strangers hanging out in your home while you’re away, what can go wrong?
Enter David Carter who claimed he was; “Looking for a place for my brother and sister in law, visiting for a wedding this weekend.” Ari handed his keys over to David, happy with the agreement. Well, until Teman went back to his apartment to get some last minute things for his trip and got a big surprise instead! David also allegedly went by the name “Twinn Green” on Twitter and was advertising a XXX freak fest on 7th Avenue. Ari’s apartment was turned into an orgy featuring plus sized women! Not good!
Teman called the cops, but not until the damage to his apartment was done. Ari has reached out to Airbnb and the website has so far wired him more than $23,000 for his damaged belongs. Let’s hope that’s good for now, but what about the next time Ari rents his apartment out?
