You can’t argue with science.

Authorities in Massachusetts now know, without a doubt, Albert DeSalvo killed Mary Sullivan.

The man known at the Boston Strangler confessed to Sullivan’s murder and a dozen others nearly five decades ago. But a confession didn’t equate to evidence. Instead, DeSalvo was locked up for unrelated rapes.

Then, last week, DeSalvo’s body was exhumed.

Now DNA evidence undeniable links him to Sullivan’s murder.

Some say justice was served in 1973 when DeSalvo was stabbed to death in prison.

Justice or not, at least Mary Sullivan’s family has closure.
