Remember the crazy runaway golf cart at Cowboys Stadium?
Just after Spring Dekaney won the 2011 Texas 5A Division 1 State Championship, the golf cart got loose on the field and plowed into several people.
One of them was Spring Dekaney coach Willie Amendola, the father of now Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola. He was taken for about a 30-yard ride before jumping off.
Amendola is now suing Cowboys Stadium for $1 million.
“He’s been, really for a very long time now, several months, experiencing some severe back pain,” said Amendola’s attorney Stephen Estes.
A year and a half after the accident happened; Amendola is citing “past and future physical pain, mental anguish, and medical expenses.”
Estes said it was a “very preventable accident.”
We asked Estes if this had anything to do with the Cowboys not sealing the deal after Danny spent a year on their practice squad.
He said, “There’s no connection at all.”
