ROUND ROCK, TX – Terrorists? In Texas?
According to the Feds, two Texas men have been charged with conspiring to provide material support to terrorists in Somalia and Syria!
23-year-old Michael Todd Wolfe was arrested at Houston’s George Bush Airport before boarding a flight to Europe. Feds say Wolfe planned to enter Syria through Turkey to provide, quote, “His services to radical groups” like Al-Qaeda members who Wolfe refers to as “Righteous brothers”.
Wolfe, a Texas native and an undercover FBI Agent also apparently discussed which militant group Wolfe should join including the brutal Islamist group, ISIS, currently taking over Iraq.
One of the “weird things” happening in Austin was the SWAT team take-down of 23-year-old Rahatual Khan after he allegedly tried using the internet to join an Al-Qaeda linked terror group in Somalia, too.
Social media’s one of the many ways terrorist groups overseas can recruit westerners to fight along side them, and analysts think as many as 100-americans have already made that trek to fight in Syria.
Like the American suicide bomber from Florida. Jihadists tweeted several photos of the man with bombs strapped to his chest before he set off a massive truck bomb at a Syrian military checkpoint.
If convicted, the alleged Texas-grown terrorists face up to 15 years in federal prison, where they’ll go from “freedom fighters” to “fighting for their freedom.”
