Honoring the anniversary, President Barack Obama and his First Lady had a busy day.
President Obama met privately with families of the plaintiffs in the case and theNACCP legal defense fund.
Meanwhile First lady michelle obama spent Friday in Topeka, Kansas, at the site of the lawsuit that initiated the case, then it was off to meet and speak to high school students in the Topeka public school district.
President Obama said the ruling “shifted the legal and moral compass of the nation.”
And certainly it did…
A decision that advanced equal rights and opportunity for all.
