LOS ANGELES, CA – Casey Kasem, you know him, you love him, the voice of radio’s long-running “American Top 40″, and the voice of Shaggy from Scooby-Doo.

And like a good Scooby-Doo mystery, Casey Kasem has disappeared.

Kasem is 82 and suffering from a common cause of dementia called Lewy body disease, which should not be confused with “Louie Louie”, which makes you think you hear dirty words in songs.

Kasem’s family doesn’t know where he is, and so they got a Los Angeles judge to grant temporary conservatorship to his daughter Kerri who posted on Facebook that she thinks her step-mother has fled the country with Kasem, or possibly has him stashed away on some Indian reservation.

Casey’s wife says her step-children think she’s wicked and has been keeping them from their father for several years.

So right now, this mystery is climbing the charts, and very likely it could end up being Casey Kasem’s last countdown.
