HOUSTON, TX – Picture your favorite cartoon character with a little less hair. Sounds silly, right? But it’s not.
Around the world, cartoonists are picking up their pencils and de-fuzzing iconic characters like: Snoopy, Olive Oil, Garfield, Hello Kitty and the fine feathered cast of the movie Rio 2. Even Finn from Adventure Time is showing skin with hopes of showing empathy toward ridicule children who have sudden hair loss due to cancer treatment. And it’s working.
The excellent idea first buzzed in Brazil when a popular cartoon character from the comic book Monica’s Gang took a little off the top.
Now it’s a global movement, drawing a better outlook for cancer patients everywhere. And that kind of happiness can never be erased.
