WINTER PARK, FL – Day care is supposed to be care-free and safe. Not in this instance.
Police say Robert Corchado ran his SUV into a car Wednesday morning, sending it off a Florida highway into the KinderCare Learning Center, leaving 4-year-old Lily Quintus dead.
Corchado fled the scene and the search was on. Police found a damaged car parked outside of a home they believed caused the crash, but no sign of Corchado until Thursday afternoon.
Corchado turned himself in to police, now he has a whole lot of explaining to do.
