WASHINGTON, D.C. – Is it me or do the winds of change smell like weed? Maybe someone’s smoking a joint in the other room. A new poll suggests 75% of Americans believe that the commercialization of marijuana will eventually become legal across the nation.
The Pew Research Center found that a large majority of interviewees, regardless of whether or not they’re in favor, think the trend is inevitable. They also seem to consider pot to be less harmful than alcohol.
Speaking of harmful recreation, a Wyoming college student visiting Colorado on spring break is the first reported death since the sale of marijuana became legal. After eating a “cookie”, 19-year-old Levy Thamba fell to his death last month from the balcony of a Holiday Inn in Denver, which proves the guy was too high.
But a minor stumble will not slow Mary Jane advocates down in their march to freedom. They now want to legalize weed, and outlaw balconies.
