HOUSTON, TX – The 2nd Amendment advocate and rock star Ted Nugent sure stirred the pot when he called our Commander and Chief a “subhuman mongrel,” and Texas republicans are left dealing with what’s boiling over.
Nugent campaigned with Texas gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott Monday and called him his “blood brother.” Now with Abbott responding to questions about the controversy, he blames the attention on the Wendy Davis campaign.
And since Senator Ted Cruz’s presidential dreams haven’t yet been put to sleep, he has to weigh in, too.
The Motor City Madman’s support was supposed to help Abbott with turnout from his base for the march 4th primary. What it might have done is given democrats a little more ammo for when they really start gunning for Abbott closer to November.
