LONDON, ENGLAND – Did someone say bad auto correct? Every year the Chinese culture celebrates the Lunar New Year, 2014 gives us the year of the horse.
While the masses in China and around the world celebrate, the British television network, BBC, got it so wrong even Mr. Ed would speak up.
In this astounding closed caption fail, the U.K.’s national network announces the year belongs to a sort of different breed which somewhat sounds the same and may even rhyme with the word horse.
The subtitles flashed across the screen during BBC’s news broadcast, “Welcome to the year of the whores. People around the globe celebrate.”
Kind of hard to miss? Not sure people of the world are celebrating this one. And this isn’t the first time.
During the funeral of the Queen’s mother, the BBC, through closed caption, called for a moment of “violence.”
But you know what? The years of the whores could work.
After all it is an election year. Maybe the BBC got it right after all.
