HOUSTON, TX – There was an abundance of really bizarre accidents around town Wednesday evening, which is why we’re bring you a “Wednesday Night Wreck-Wrap.” We’ll start with a crazy crash at Woodway and Fountain View.

Cops say the girl driving was speeding, lost control of her SUV, drove through a fence, slamming into a wooden electrical pole and splitting it in half before landing in an apartment complex parking lot upside down. The girl was trapped, the Houston Fire Department was able to get her out and somehow she made it out without getting hurt.

Unfortunately, the electrical pole didn’t have the same fate. The crash knocked out power and cable to over 3,000 people and while crews eventually got the power back up and running the cable could take a few days.

Now to wreck number two at Donna and W. Greens, where another electrical pole was brutally attacked by a Chevy Camaro. It took a while for the fire department to get the driver out of this accident because they had to wait for crews to turn off power to the electrical lines that were left hanging over the guy’s car.

Again, we’re surprised the guy was okay.

He was taken to the hospital, but was in stable condition.

Last, but certainly not the least damaging, an accident at North Rosslyn and Alabonson.

Two guys were driving along; apparently the driver ran a red light and turned where he wasn’t supposed to when he ended up crashing into the corner of an apartment building before bouncing like a pin ball into the apartment building next to it.

Both places the driver hit happened to be kid’s rooms and fortunately everyone’s okay in this wreck too. Both guys in the car were taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Usually when we tell you about a night full of car wrecks it’s because the outcome is grim. This may not be a happy ending but it could have been a lot worse.
