PORTLAND, OR – You’ve probably seen a fair share of lawsuits that make you want to say, “huh?”
Well, you can a new one out of Portland, Oregon to the list.
Sirgiorgiro Clardy, a neighborhood pimp, is slapping Nike with a $100 million lawsuit. He claims the shoemaker is partly responsible for a brutal beating that netted him a 100 year prison sentence.
Clardy was convicted for stomping a man’s face who was trying to leave a hotel without paying his prostitute. Clardy used a pair of Jordan’s during the beat down that left the guy needing stitches and plastic surgery.
Clardy, who is representing himself in the case, wants a judge to order Nike to put warning labels on all of their “potentially dangerous Nike and Jordan merchandise.”
But, isn’t it safe to assume that when you beat somebody’s face in with hard plastic; someone’s going to get hurt?
