PARANA RIVER, ARGENTINA – This story might sound like it was clipped right from a scene out of a bad horror movie…but it wasn’t.
About 70 people got hurt after a swarm of meat-eating fish attacked them at a beach on the Parana River in Argentina. And, strangely enough, the country’s state-run news agency says the fish that did the attacking was a close relative of the piranha. Piranhas in the Parana…who would’ve thought?
The amazing news to come from all of this – no one died. But, a 7-year-old girl did lose a pinky finger in the whole ordeal.
It`s probably safe to say that what happened here bit off more than anyone was planning on chewing.
