HOUSTON, TX – Fast and furious! That’s the way rates for the Katy Freeway Tollway has increased.
Starting September 9, prices to use the 12-mile route between Highway 6 and Post Oak have gone up from $5 to $7 during peak hours of the morning and evening.
The reason? It looks like the Katy managed lanes on I-10 have gotten too crowded and the Harris County Toll Road Authority wanted to make some room for those willing to pay more.
Houston is growing and so is the traffic. So, until flying cars are invented, there’s nothing we can do but hope for good music on the radio.
