SPRING, TX – As students at Spring High School go back to class, one of their own is laid to rest.
17-year-old Joshua Broussard was stabbed to death at school last week. His Monday morning funeral was calm and quiet. It was a better situation than the memorial service held Sunday night, where gunshots were fired outside the church. No one was hurt or arrested, but no one’s taking all this lightly.
On campus, there are extra officers and counselors. Metal detectors are set up and students have see-through backpacks.
Gang rivalry is the suspected motive. The suspect, fellow student Luis Alfaro, is being held on $150,000 bond.
