Seven people are dead, including gunman Pedro Vargas, after police say Vargas went on a shooting spree at a south Florida apartment complex. Apparently, SWAT units were called after cops showed up and found two people dead. When officers continued to search the Hialeah Apartment Complex, they found more bodies.
Investigators say a SWAT team moved in after Vargas barricaded himself inside a unit holding two people hostage. Tactical forces say Vargas started shooting when they went in to rescue the two people, and that’s when SWAT took the guy out. Cops are still trying to figure out Vargas’ motive, but just like every other mass shooting there’s never really a good answer to that question.
