HOUSTON, TX – What is this happening in the NewsFix studio? A dance-off featuring some of Houston’s finest — and no one invited Grego?! What gives?!
These lovely ladies are part of the Rockets Power Dancers, and they’re lookin’ for a few good women to join the team.
Auditions are coming up–Saturday, June 22nd.
So we wanted to know; what it takes to be a Rockets Power Dancer?
“Definitely dedication and commitment and belief in yourself,” says Natalie Alvarado, Entertainment Manager for the Rockets Power Dancers.
Ladies must be 18 years or older, work full-time or a full-time student.
“It’s a part-time situation, but it feels full-time,’ says Alvarado, ‘We have 40 games during the season, two to three times a week rehearsals that last for three hours, working out with a trainer, and on top of that appearances in the community.”
So, they’re looking for SuperWoman–and those rock-hard abs!
“Our choreography is very hard-core and it calls for using every muscle in your body.”
If you think you have what it takes to be a Rockets Power Dancer, moonwalk your way to auditions.
It’ll be a blast!
