What does it take to become a Rockets Power Dancer?

rocketsHOUSTON, TX – What is this happening in the NewsFix studio? A dance-off featuring some of Houston’s finest — and no one invited Grego?! What gives?!

These lovely ladies are part of the Rockets Power Dancers, and they’re lookin’ for a few good women to join the team.

Auditions are coming up–Saturday, June 22nd.

So we wanted to know; what it takes to be a Rockets Power Dancer?

“Definitely dedication and commitment and belief in yourself,” says Natalie Alvarado, Entertainment Manager for the Rockets Power Dancers.

Ladies must be 18 years or older, work full-time or a full-time student.

“It’s a part-time situation, but it feels full-time,’ says Alvarado, ‘We have 40 games during the season, two to three times a week rehearsals that last for three hours, working out with a trainer, and on top of that appearances in the community.”

So, they’re looking for SuperWoman–and those rock-hard abs!

“Our choreography is very hard-core and it calls for using every muscle in your body.”
